Under the auspices of the Interfaith Committee, Sinai Temple welcomes a number of church groups to attend Sinai Temple services and to learn more about Jewish observances. These groups come to observe a Jewish service, to understand what the Jewish symbols and fixtures mean, and to learn a little about Jewish beliefs and how these relate to their Christian beliefs.
The visits to Sinai Temple began in 1993, and have continued every year since then. Not all churches visit each year. The great majority seem to come during the Christian period of Lent, which occurs the six weeks before Easter.
