Youth Group (CUTY)

Sinai Temple offers youth programming.  Typically, we will have 3-4 programs a year for children in three different age groups.

  1. KIDdush Club is for our youngest members (Newborn-2nd Grade) and an adult.  We have havdallah programs, read stories and do projects related to the Jewish content, celebrate holidays and have Shabbat Rocks! worship services.
  2. JYG – our Junior Youth Group – is for students in grades 3-7, coinciding with the Hebrew School/Religious School program.  Events may include miniature golf, bowling, roller skating, visiting a trampoline park, game night, etc.  We also have NEXT DOR services on the 3rd Shabbat of the month, along with our Shabbat Rocks!
  3. CUTY is Champaign Urbana Temple Youth.  CUTY is for our post B’nai Mitzvah students (8th-12th grade).  We have lock ins, movie nights, lead services for the congregation and participate in some regional youth group events as well.  CUTY is not affiliated with a national youth organization but instead serves the local Jewish teens and allows them to have leadership opportunities.
