Guidelines for Return to In-Person Gatherings

The default setting for in-person Shabbat Evening and Shabbat Rocks/ Next Dor services will be outside on the patio.

  • Vaccinations are strongly encouraged. This will be on the honor system.
  • Masks will be required.
  • People will be seated six feet apart except for family pods which may sit closer together but still a 6 foot distance from other people.
  • Weather decisions will be made by 4:00PM for evening services. If weather is inclement, participants will be notified via Facebook, the website, or email whether services will be moved indoors to the Davis Chapel or onto Zoom only.
  • Zoom options will remain available for all indoor and outdoor services.
  • All individuals must register to attend in-person services. This is on a first come, first serve basis, to ensure that we are gathering in safe numbers. Up to 50 individuals may attend outdoor services. Signup will be by contacting the Temple office.
  • If demand for service attendance outstrips capacity, those excluded from one week will be given priority the following week.
  • Singers will be distanced 30 feet from congregants and masked; instrumentalists will be distanced 6 feet and masked. Congregants in attendance are discouraged from singing along at this time.
  • We plan to erect the sukkah, using a more solid roof covering, to provide some shade/ shelter on the patio.
